Biography

Juan Claudio Nino's research focuses on the development and engineering of advanced functional materials for sustainable energy, national security, and brain-inspired computing as well as the design and implementation of artificial intelligence methods and algorithms for autonomous characterization. His current research at the Nino Research Group on advanced functional ceramics, polymers, bio-inspired materials, and their composites focuses on focus includes optimization and development of advanced functional materials for: semiconductors and scintillators for radiation detection, electronics under extreme environments, energy conversion and storage, and graph theory and neural network applications.
